This is my first time around so I have not but...I have read other postings where that has happened to people and they still had healthy pregnancies. I think sometimes it happens when there are twins and one does not survive. I'd ask the doctor or nurse what they think it means. Good Luck.

Hey Cathy! I looked over here to find any of you positive group guys. What is the news? I am dying to know. Did your numbers flatten then rise? It could be a vanishing twin. This does not seem right for a m/c, if it flattens it should then go down not up. I am sure everything is fine. What were your numbers? How many days post are you and when is your u/s?

Hey Lee...unfortunately the numbers started to go down and I am now mc'ing......I am doing OK however, have started looking into getting my embies transferred closer to home. I atleast got PG this time, even though it didn't last, which is further than I have gotten in the past.

Thanks for your thoughts.

To CAKI

Cathy,

I'm soooo sorry! I am going through the same thing right now and your situation definitely worries me. My betas have been 78, 75, 54, 61.8, 91 and I have beta #6 tomorrow. The fact that they went down and then up has been a mystery and we're all hoping it's a vanishing twin or triplets.

What did it feel like to m/c? I had a double m/c in Sept., but I never had any symptoms or bleeding or anything. Just 2 sacs that no longer had h/bs in them. I had to have 2 D&Cs, so I never m/c on my own. I'm curious to know what to look for in case this happens to me!

Again, I'm so sorry and that's great that you can look at it so positively that at least you were able to get pregnant. Good for you.

What were your betas?????

Thinking of you.....
Jen

My betas were as follows

1st 21.8
2nd 48.5
3rd 130
4th 168

When the 4th one did rise satisfactorily, thye took me off the PIO shots because he said I had an abnormal pg and it would be worse to continue to allow the embryo to grow in case it was a tubal or something. He was hoping that they would start to go down normally so that no procedure would be needed.

5th 102

I go back next Wednesday for another Beta with hopes that I will have zeroed out and all will be normal.

This is the first time I have ever been PG so I don't know what to expect. I had some bleeding yesterday and a little spotting, some cramps off and on. Other than that I have felt fine. Other than the nausea and fatigue I have had with the rise of my HCG.

I hope everything works out for you.

Cathy

Thanks for sharing, Cathy. I know my RE is concerned about an abnormal pg and I know he's really looking for a 180 + for tomorrow.

Good luck to you with your betas going down and your next cycle.

Jen

Cathy,

I am so sorry for what has happen to you and your husband. I too have never been preg. When you were preg. did you tell others? Is it really better to just wait until about 12 to 14 weeks to start letting others know.
I go for my first Beta on March 1. I am in the 2ww. I just feel tired, irritable, and crampy. We transferred 2 AA Blast on Feb. 11. I am so nervous and hopeful.

Msfriend.
