Cramps 4 Days after Positive Beta???

Hello!
I just finished a round of IVF. We were blessed and my first Beta was 290. (14 days past Egg Retrieval and 9 days past 5dt) My RE does not want me to come in for the 2nd beta for a week, so I will go in to have my 2nd beta on Wed. I guess this means I am almost 5 weeks pregnant.

For the past few days I have felt crampy - like AF was about to show up. I know this would be not unusual during implantation - but implantation is over. Have any of you experienced PMS type cramps and gone on to have a normal pregnancy? I'm so very scared that it means things ar not looking good. I am on injections of progesterone so that might prevent any spotting? I dont' know for sure. Any reassurance would be appreciated!

Also, anyone else on progesterone injections? I'm getting huge knots that feel like goose eggs on my bum from the injections. Anyone know of a way to stop this?

Missy........congratulations on your pregnancy. I have been having PMS cramps on/off since right before my beta. Most of the time that i get them are when I am sleeping or if I been lying down for a long time and when I get up they hit, they don't last long though. Try not to worry ( know easier said than done) everyting will be fine.

Good Luck,
Jen

Marie!

Are you from IVF connections?

This is Rachel. If so. Finally I found you.
Congratulations is in order!

I have some good news too. I HPT on Saturday night and this morning twice with two different tests and they are all BFP with faint lines!
My beta is scheduled for Thursday 17dp retrieval but I think it should be today 14dp retrieval. Anyways I called my clinic and told the nurse. She said to come in for a beta today but unfortuneatly there was freezing ice on the roads so I will be going in tommorow.

This is so cool that we can post while IVF connections is down. Have you heard from Marcia?

Rachel

Cramping and PIO Lumps

Congratulations!

Re Cramping: I am almost 5 weeks, and I too have been cramping on and off since transfer, and am just not worrying about it: everyone seems to think it’s pretty normal, unless the “cramps” are really pain.
To want2bmom I’m sure you’ve done this, but rubbing the area very firmly in a circular motion for at least 5 minutes up to 15 after the shot seems to have worked for me: No lumps. Re bruising: I have only bruised a couple of times, and in each instance it was when I bled a bit. I usually don’t bleed. I don’t know what DH is doing so right, but he goes in fast and straight, and has a pretty steady hand. I’ve had amazing good luck with the PIO shots.

FYI - I am now at 7weeks 1day and the cramps have been replaced for the most part with nausia starting a day or two ago. My HCG numbers were high so I think I got MS earlier than a lot of people do. Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know I've had two ultrasounds and so far everthing is going well...So the cramps were nothing to be concerned about. Thanks for the advice about the shots though. I have lumps so I appreciate your thoughts aobut the massages.
Congratulations to all of you!!!!
