Question low progesterone

Just got our 2nd beta numbers back:

1/31 14dpo beta:294
progesterone: 19.9

2/7 21dpo beta: 3493
progesterone: 17.5

We were away for the second blood draw. DP's father died suddenly and we dropped everything to go. The part that I'm very upset about is the lab didn't get us the numbers until today. The dr. now wants to put her on crinone progesterone gel. How serious is this? Did the delay in information make things worse?

-K.

Just wanted to follow up. Had our first ultrasound today, and saw the heartbeat! Should get DP's progesterone and hcg #'s tomorrow, but the doc says everything is looking great!
