Is this right, 3rd Beta needs to be 4300

Just wondering here are my Beta numbers:

12p3dt or 15dpo - 52
16dp3dt or 19dpo - 358

I just talked to my nurse and I go for 3rd beta on 2/14
which should put at 26dpo and she said she wanted the number to be around 4300.

Is that right? Don't the numbers start to slow down? Now I am really worred I did not think it needed to be that high.

Jen

Based on your numbers 4300 sounds a little bit high to me. Even if you had a doubling time of 48 hours your number wouldn't be that high. My levels slowed down once they reached 1500 so yours may slow down too. I would call the nurse and ask her why she thinks your beta should be at that level. I'm wondering if she is looking at an average beta number chart instead of going by your actual numbers. Please keep us posted and don't worry, I'm sure your fine!

I just looked at your numbers again and I bet she is taking the number and assuming a doubling time of 48 hours. I came up with 4296 when I did this. Don't worry if your numbers aren't this high though. My nurse did the same thing and said my numbers for my third beta should be 8000. The actual result was only 4400 and I freaked. I even had to have an u/s to rule out an ectopic pg. Needless to say everything was fine and I will be 17 weeks tomorrow. Sorry for the long post.

Congratulations on you pg! I thought they should be around 2800, but when I called her and asked she said no 4300. I have calmed down alot since yesterday. There is nothing I can do except pray that the number is high enough for a viable pg. I wish they would not wait a week between betas it drives me insane.

Thank you for your help,

Jen

Genevieve,

The clinic called my 3rd and final beta is 6390. My first u/s in on 2/21. I am excited. I did not expect it to be that high, I'm not complaining mind you. I beginning to be more comfortable.

Hope you are feeling well, today.

Thank you so much for checking on me.

Jen

Jen,
It looks like you are just a step ahead of me in all of this. I have my second beta (16 dp5dt) tomorrow. I'm so nervous and hopeful. Congratulations with your numbers going up so high. That is excellent.

Thanks Missy.....yesterday was 26dpo for my 3rd beta. It drove me insane at how they spaced out my betas. I can't wait till next week.

Congratulations to you as well!!! What was your first beta number? Good Luck with your test tomorrow. It will go up, up.
