I had my 1st HCG done Monday, 2/7 = 334 - 14 dp3dt
My Second HCG was done Wed. 2/9 = 448 - 16dp3dt My nurse told me not to panic yet, she has seen this before - could have more than one and losing it. Anyone seen this before and agree with her? I go for 3rd HCG tomorrow morning (2/11). Thank you - any advice is welcome!!!

I don't know much about how IVF beta numbers compare with betas done post ovulation but I do agree with your nurse. Don't panic just yet because your first set of numbers did seem pretty high. Since the second number went up it could indicate a vanishing twin. I hope your test tomorrow shows a big increase. I'll pray for your little bean.

I had that happen...my Beta stalled at 1,200 for 5 DAYS!!! They told me it was over and then it triplled. I was still PG, butu had lost a twin. I ended up loosing the whole pregnancy a LOT later...but it was do to a sunchorionic hemmorhage...nothing else. Keep the faith...I am sure all is well. It IS going the right direction!!!
Hugs, Heather

Thank you Heather for sharing your experience. I noticed you are having a 3rd HCG today as well and wish you the best!
The results from my 3rd HCG test were 692 - they went up but did not double...really no explanation at this time and it is "wait and see." Going for a 4th HCG test Sunday morning...I thought the 2ww after IVF was hard but it is nothing compared to the wait between these HCG tests. Please send sticky vibes for our little bean. Bridget |

My #'s were very similar to yours, it took me 6 days to go from 117 at 13dpiui to 368 19dpiui. I too thought for sure that it was over. Although unable to be proven, it could have been a vanishing twin, or as my OB puts it "every woman has a different HcG curve." At 22dpiui (or 5w1d) my beta tripled, and I had a gest. sac. Only a u/s can really tell you anything, but you cannot see anything until betas around 1200. As long as the #'s keep going up you are still pg.
All the best to you! Kathy 19w4d--taking it one day at a time EDD 7/6/05 |

My 4th HCG levels on Sunday were 1147. The nurse at the IVF clinic believes it is an ectopic pregnancy...since the numbers are going up but not doubling. Still a wait and see situation as it still may be too early to see anything on an ultrasound. We are devastated by the news to say the least. Our IF is MF related and I cannot believe that I am at risk of losing a tube now and this pregnancy. Keeping good thoughts for a miracle though...

I still don't think it's time to call it quits. You may just have a body that the HCG rises slowly. Keep the faith! Let us know what happens!
hugs, Heather
