Sarah........I have more energy in the am than in the pm. This morning however I did get up with a dull headache and some nausea, but it seems to be subsiding.

How bout you?

Jen

I definitely have more energy in the am than the pm. Right now, I am just feeling really tired and peeing a lot. I feel a little nausea if I don't eat frequently. But the nausea isn't that bad.

Your next beta is Monday, 2/14, right? Mine is tomorrow first thing in the morning. I can't wait. The worse part is waiting to get that phone call all day.

Ok.......I just talked to the nurse a moment ago and I asked her what number they were looking for when I go for Monday's beta and she said 4300 . Does that sound right? I did not realize it needed to be that high. Don't the numbers start slowing down. I will be 26dpO on Monday. I am worried now.

That sounds right to me. Your last beta was 2/7 and it was 358.

HCG levels should double every 48-72 hours. If you go on the high end and double them every 48 hours (2/9, 2/11, 2/13...) by 2/13 I have calculated that they should be around 2864. Then if you take half of that (to add one more day to get you to 2/14 to your next beta) that brings you to about 4296.

HCG levels continue to rise at this time and reach their peak in the 8-11 weeks of pregnancy and then will decline and level off for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Keep in mind there is a big range in HCG levels for each week. See below.
Here is a guideline hCG levels:
hCG levels in weeks from LMP or in gestational age* :

3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml

I really think your numbers look great! And I definitely think it's possible for you to reach 2400 by Monday. That's a ways away.

Maybe a piece of mind for you would be to have your blood work done every other day. That's what my doctor does. And it's hard enough for me to wait two days. If you would be more comfortable with that I would call your doctor's office and just tell them you want to come in tomorrow for blood work. It's your body, peace of mind and pregnancy. You have a right to speak up! I have learned that the past 17 months. I used to be afraid of bothering them, being a pain, blah, blah....well you know it if it helps me than it's worth it! So think about it.

I know I hate to hear people tell me this and you probably have heard it many times before.....but....try not to stress. I truly believe stress can only hurt. I was stressing last night about my progesterone dropped 7 but today I told myself my numbers still look great, including progesterone. There isn't anything I can do but enjoy this pregnancy.

Keep me posted. Hang in there. I really truly believe your numbers are fine! Write anytime. I check this site multiple times per day. Take care of yourself.

With what I calculated and the basis that it doubles every 48-72 hours, it should be around that. Keep in mind the range for 5 weeks pregnant is 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml.

I have had three miscarriages. And it wasn't until my second pregnancy that my doctor starting doing Beta's on me. They can really drive us nuts. Sometimes I wish I didn't know. We put too much into these numbers because for each person it's different and the range varies so greatly.

Don't be discouraged if it's not exactly or at least 4300. As long as it's within the normal range and is increasing as it should then it's fine. Your doctor's office will be honest with you I am sure.

Hang in there. Write if you want to chat.

I am calming down, b/c there is nothing that I can do about that bloodtest, except pray, pray, pray, and pray. This is the first positive that I have ever gotten and I am wanting my little bean to stay for 9 months.

Thanks,
Jen

I understand ladies!!! I have my second Beta tommorow. My HPT was positive on day 4 after transfer...(9 days post O). I went for Beta 14dpo and I expected to be in the 300's (At least...because of the early ++ HPT'S). So, my first Beta was 141. I was shocked and sad. So, last year, I had 14dpo Beta of 94...it ended in M/C. Well, they told me to come in Friday for another Beta to make sure the #'s were going UP not DOWN. I was like WHAT???!!! So they were concerned...and I just wanted to be reassured! Anyhow...I am using prayer to get me by. My loss last year haunts me so much. It's hard to relax, but I am doing the best I can for the baby's sake.

Maybe we should start a thread for Pregnancy buddies!!! Sarah, Donna, Jen and I. (And I guess anymore that wanna join?) Any name suggestions for our group??? I knwo there had alread been a "Pumpkin" something thread...

Hugs,
Heather (Aka: Eli Mae)

Heather.........141 is a good number. I wish mine would have been that high. At 15dpo(12s3dt) my first number was 52, and that had me worried b/c I knew it needed to be higher. I guess they were pleased with my 2nd number 358 @ 19dpo.

I am not good with thinking up names, but I am all for it.

Talk later,
Jen

Hi Ladies

I just got back from my third beta. Waiting for results........UGH!

Heather, I think that is a great idea! I think it really helps to have support and understanding from other women who have been through what we have been through and who can really understand. I talk to a couple of my girlfriends but none of them have ever had a miscarriage. I have had three!!! They are wondeful but they can't begin to understand what we have and are going through.

I use a lot of prayer to get me through all of this. I don't know about any of you but I do believe things happen for a reason and timing is a big factor. Unfortunatley, there isn't anything we can do. It's all in God's hands. My first loss (Oct 2003) was a little girl who had Trisomy 22. It was so hard to accept at first. But as time passed I became stronger and realized that she is much happier and healthier in Heaven. In other words, when we miscarry I truly believe it's because something was terribly wrong with that child and he/she would not have had a quality life. Does that make sense? And now she has two other little "siblings" that we lost with her in heaven. So they aren't alone. My sister's son, who is 4 years old always use to say "Don't worry Aunt Sarah, your children are in heaven together. At least they know each other and can play together." Isn't that sweet!

Okay, I went off here.....sorry. Back to our little group! Yes, we should do it! Let me think about some names. Whatever it is it should be positive!

Jen, hang in there. Your numbers so far look really good. You too Heather! We will all get through this I promise.
I will write later today when I get my results! Take care. Out of curiousity anyone a Pisces?

Sarah
