I'm use the CBE digital sticks that either show a smiley or a circle depending on the result. I bought a 20 pack thinking that would be enough but now I'm getting low. If I buy another package will it still be able to monitor for this month? I was thinking yes but then DH said he thought that might screw things up. Any ideas?

I don't see why it would hamper anything at all, but maybe I'm misunderstanding something

I think he's worried that since it's digital maybe the little unit it keeping an internal log of my numbers somehow. I think that it's just set to give me a smiley face if my numbers are > a predetermined level. I'm just going to pick up another box if I run out and still haven't O'd. Also, I picked up some over the counter progestrone cream today. Do you think it would hurt my chances to start using it Post O for 14 days to see if I can length my LP a little? Then again, I'm supposed to start an IUI cycle next month so maybe I shouldn't. As strange as it may sound, I just kinda feel like maybe this is our month and I want to give us every chance to make this happen.

You can keep using the little same unit and just use new sticks. The battery lasts for months in those.
Nah, the OTC progesterone cream is not likely to harm you. I don't know if it'll help or if it'll just make you feel super funky (from having it absorb through the skin instead of the vagina) but I know other women have used it and I don't think they had any negatives to say about it.
I honestly think you should just ask your RE to give you progesterone suppository prescriptions. Ask for Endometrin and ask if they have the discount cards available too, that way you save $50/month.
If the doctor wants to argue that you don't "need" it point out that you're 35 years old, you've been TTC for umpteen years, and since the suppositories can't possibly hurt can he please just write a prescription and not give you a lecture!

Thanks for the info. I think I might be getting ready to O as I have EWCM but still no surge detected with the OPK. I wish I would have been able to temp this month. I really need to find a way to make that happen.
