205f96 Ovulation Charts
For this month's cycle fertilityfriend picked day 17 as ovulation. To me it looks like (and felt like) day 18. I had surge on day 17 - some pain that evening but tremendous crampy pain on day 18 then it was gone. I usually get that pain at ovulation time - no idea if it is before, after or during the big event. So why is it picking day 17? Shouldn't it be 18? Can it be wrong?

Hi there: I think it was cd 18 and that FF is off by a day. Your temp on cd 18 is higher than 5 of your temps, but not higher than cd 12 (technically, you're supposed to go back 6 days). And on cd 19 you have a rise of more than .2 of a degree, which is also what you look for (.1 can work in slow rise patterns, but .2 or higher is the typical rise). Plus, you had ewcm still on cd 18 .. and cd 18 is consistent with your ++OPK on cd 17 (yes, you can O the same day as your surge, but "usually" it's the next day).
You may find that FF shifts to cd 18 after a few days. Not uncommon for it to change its mind .GOOD LUCK with your 2ww! Keep us posted++++++++ Maura |

Thank you - I felt like I was going crazy. I am not an expert at this by any stretch but I thought I would know ovulation. I will watch and see if ff changes the date on me. I would find that funny.

i agree with maura. also it could be because you entered a neg OPK for cd 18. i had cycles where i didn't agree with FF and i would back out a piece of information (such as the neg opk) and it would change to the day that i KNEW i o'd on.
also, if you're an afternoon tester it's possible that cd 18 was in fact your O day but that by the time you tested your LH started to drop off already. no matter what, we know our own body better than anyone or any computer program so i always went with my gut!! best of luck!
