Question Confusing fertility signs

Hi, wondering if any one could shed some light on this. I started having fertile signs on 20th with a high cervix, so high it couldn't easily be felt and wet CM. So I BD'd, and it was the same the next day so again, by the third day I was assuming to see my thermal shift, and none and then again today, no thermal shift at all, I had only 1 day of eggwhite CM and non fertile CM now. I have tested using an OPK for the last 4 days and only have negatives.

Looking at my chart (below) do you think i have I ovulated, or it imminent? I'm new to this charting business, so I don't really know what to expect. I can't check cervix today as I have gone down with an unfortunate bought of cystitus (ouch).

Last month I had a very long cycle of 38 days, but I did ovulate, although I have rather irregular periods, with sometimes months between. You can see my chart here pandabutton Ovulation Charts

Also, are my temperatures a little low? They seem to average 35.9 or 96.6 this seems lower than most other charts I see.

Thanks for all help

Hi there! I don't see O yet, but that doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. Some women see fertility signs appear, disappear, then reappear around O time. I would not stop BMSing or temping. A lot of women seem to O around the cd 20 mark (give or take a day), so it could be that O is right around the corner.

Your temps do seem on the low side. Have you had a complete thyroid panel lately? Even if your thyroid has been normal in the past, I'd get it checked out if it's been a while. The thyroid can get out of whack relatively easily and low temps can be an indication of a thyroid that's not working properly (and that can impact ovulation and fertility).

Fingers crossed that you see that O rise soon!

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++

thanks for your help. Hopefully I don't O when i can't BD (sillly cystitis) .

I had a full thyroid test done a few months back, I fell ill last august and haven't yet recovered, or discovered what is wrong. My thyroid was fine, they even checked twice because of the symptoms. Strange though. It's weird because I wake up with terrible night sweats yet my temp is really low.

Any way, hopefully O will happen in a couple of days.

Hi again: Sorry to hear you were so sick in August. What were the symptoms? I wonder if some virus made mischief somehow and you are still recovering. Have you had other hormone levels tested? The night sweats sound hormone-related to me. But I am no doctor, so what do I know?! I would continue to explore this, though. You want to be in the best health possible when trying to get pg.

Good luck and keep in touch++++++++

I didn't have any particular virus they could find, but all my lymph nodes ache and I get upper back pain, which hurts to breathe, and night sweats and fatigue and dizzyness. I put off TTC for a while over the last year, but the doctors have refused to do any more tests (NHS need I say more). and have labelled me Chronic Fatigue. I haven't had hormones tested, but that is a good idea. Thanks

Vicky

Oh Vicky, that's horrible! How are your blood counts (white blood cell, red blood cell)? Where are the lymph nodes that hurt and are they swollen?

My blood counts have always come out pretty much normal, there were too many lymphocytes most of the time, but nothing really serious. The worse lymph node pains are in my lower neck and collar bone area, but no noticeable swelling, just a horrible deep ache, which I guess is why they wont do any more tests. despite them telling me to just live with it, I'm ever hopeful of a diagnosis - if not a cure

You know, Vicky, I would go to another doctor. If you told me that your bloodwork was completely normal, then that's one thing. But where you mostly have too many lymphocytes... and you have lymph node pain ... and painful breathing... and night sweats ... I think further investigation is in order. I would have every kind of blood test possible and try to get to the bottom of this. How you are feeling should not be how you are feeling!

I hope you figure out what's wrong and start to feel better.....

Best to you+++++++++++

thanks BC-Maura, your right, I expect they will find out what's wrong eventually. Or I'll get more symptoms to help the diagnosis.

panda-I'm an avid bbt charter as well. My doc says use the opk and the bbt and than you know for sure. If they coincide than bam you've got it.

I got my ++++opk on a wed. at 2pm and 6pm and than the temp rise over the next three days. The morning of the day I got my positive opk my temp was really low too like 97.2 and than it shot way up!!!

Do not use the opk with first morning urine try around 12-2pm and hold your urine before. good luck!!!
