evap lines?

Hello. Just wondering if anyone has had problems with evap lines or "positives" appearing after the time limit on internet HPTs? I know you aren't supposed to read the results after 10 minutes but twice I got a 2nd pink line on some tests I bought over the internet... bUT it was well after the 10 minute time frame (45 min-1 hour later). I guess I'm just looking for hope and also curious what others have found... thanks!

It might depend on where you get them. I have yet to get any evap lines on any of the ones I have done - even when I would go back hours later. I did get a faint faint line and the next day nothing - and I attribute that to possible chemical and my thyroid was off.

Here is hoping that line gets darker for you.

i agree with cpgal. additionally many brands will put the notation in the pamphlet if their brand utilizes evap lines.

have you retested?

Well ladies I tested again this morning with FRER but BFN. I think I am 9dpo today. However, this afternoon I tested wttih a HPT from early-pregnancy-tests.com and I think it showed a very faint pink line. I trust FRER more but of course I want to believe the other test LOL. I will probably keep testing up until AF is due (next Tues/WEd). Wish me luck!

I want to say FRER is only tests to 25 ml and that early pregnancy tests are at 20 ml -- I think that they can test as low as 12 ml in some tests.

I would say this looks VERY promising and at 9 dpo very early.

Bfn

Unfortunately, BFN for me this morning. Not sure what is going on. I am only about 10dpo but I think I am out for this cycle because I am using super sensitive tests and no second line today. Hmm...

It is possible that you had a chemical miscarriage - you had fertilization and the implantation was aborted or didn't quite happen because something was not right. They say that happens a lot and most women never know but since we are all in the hyper-vigilant stage where we are testing and temping, etc., we can discover these things.

It still stinks. Having suffered a miscarriage at 10 weeks, I would rather that things didn't work out right the first 10 to 14 days then have it happen much later.

It will happen for you.

Hi there: Don't give up yet! 10 dpo is too early to be testing reliably! You could still be implanting for another 2 days! If AF is staying away, then I don't care what those HPTs are saying at this point.

Try not to test again for another 4-5 days (if you can!). Or if you do test, don't get discouraged by any negatives... .it's just too early!

Best of luck and keep us posted++++++++

For best results you should probably wait until you're 12 to 14dpo. I personally hate the strip test and the Dollar tree test. They always give me evap lines. But you shouldnt look after the 10mins. It just gets you hopes up and you're prob gonna get a false reading.
