Hi again. I am unsure whether it is a new/revamped test or just new packaging/marketing. However, I will tell you all that I am most UNimpressed with these HPTs because I got a positive on a day that was definitely too early for any positive HPT (don't ask... I'm a POAS-addict), followed by a negative the very next day. Plus , one showed a horizontal line instead of a vertical line, which it isnt supposed to do, even though I followed directions. What gives?? Anyway, I do not recommend these...

Well, that might be one reason.
I will NEVER get a blue dye test... AGAIN! I had taken one and it was confusing.. like you stated... was thinking *maybe* I was preg.. went to the dr and NOPE. That was over 5 years ago and never again bought one. I had a friend send me a box of tests.. they happened to be blue dye... they were never easy to read... an Effie positive... when they should have been a for sure one. Even the EPT digital.. is a BLUE DYE TEST! I cracked it open after the battery died.. and It was hardly a positive looking test.. when my beta was over 3300!! Stick to PINK!! That is my advise!!

FerretMommy- thanks for the advice. I agree- most blue dye tests are confusingor ambiguous... of course, occasionally I like to torture myself by using one and wondering if just maybe I might be pregnant LOL just kidding...
Any suggestions on good pink dye HPTs? (brands) |

I personally LOVE the First Response tests. I found some on e-bay that were so cheap! The boxes were smashed, but they were a 3 pack for like 5 bucks and free shipping, so I bought a few boxes!!
Nothing was wrong with the actual tests and they were not expired!I also like the FRED GOLD.. which is the digital test. I got a YES on 12 DPO... with BOTH and was shocked. I had a faint line on one and thought, why not try it now.. and it worked! I think I have used the Walgreens and Target brands in the past, but I looked for the pink dye and had normal, non guessing results. I am NOT a fan of the dollar tree.. even though I was getting BFP, it was hard to read those as well. Good Luck!

FM- Thanks again for the advice. One more question for you (or anyone else who is reading this)... how soon is too soon to test? I am only approx. 6dpo today and already the wait is killing me. Ack! If I use an early detection HPT like First Response, how soon can I reliably test? I am not due to get AF for a week or so...
