Clueless
Hello Everyone I took a OPK On the 21st of september and to my suprise it was positive, Here recently Ivee been getting weird symptoms light headed neasuated etc. and today i woke up with EXTREAMLY painful cramps I keep checking to see if AF came and nothing just the cramping Temp is fine no fever. PG test is Neg( not with FMU). it would make me 14 dpo? Any advice would be appreciate, Oh I guess I should include this , I have premature ovarian failure, And I havnt had a period since may And that is normal for me . Maybe AF is on her way? Maybe Ectopic?, None the less if this is persistant I guess its time to go to the dr. Any advice would be much appreciated thank you!

Hi there: If you got a ++OPK on 9/21, then you could have ovulated anytime from 9/21 to 9/23. Using the 23rd (to err on the side of caution), that would make you 12 dpo today -- still very early to be testing (false negatives come easily at this stage!). I would wait another 3-4 days and if you still don't have AF, then test again. And then if you still haven't gotten AF by 10/11 or so, time to see a doctor for a blood test!
If the cramps remain very painful, though, then see a doctor sooner than that. The cramping could be the corpus luteum left over from ovulation or it could be something else (not helpful, I know!). GOOD LUCK and keep us posted+++++++ Maura |

Hi again: where is the cramping -- can you locate it on your abdomen? I had cramping when I was pg with my ds -- it was where my ovary was -- and when I had my first u/s, the tech said she could see a big cyst left over from ovulation (that's the corpus luteum -- it's where the follicle was) ... such cramping is normal.... not everyone feels it, though (I didn't feel it when I was pg with my dd) ....
But that kind of cramping should not be very painful, which is why I was thinking you should contact your doctor if it continues. It wouldn't be ectopic cramping (at this point the egg would be so small), but it could be something else. Good luck and keep us posted++++++++ Maura |

The cramping is All in my lower abdomen where the ovaries sit and kind of in the pelvic region. It comes and goes, But when it comes it knocks me on my butt, and a little of a stretching feeling if that makes sence.
I was definately thinking ectopic when i got the pain. But I have no idea Thanks so much for the replys Atleast im not completely in the air. |

Hi again -- is the pain in your lower right quadrant? I'm now thinking appendicitis is a possibility (if the pain is on the right). I didn't realize the pain was that intense. I would go get it checked out too!
Please come back and let us know how you're doing+++++++++++ Maura |

No no Its not sacluded to one area its just intense cramping that comes and goes, Tylenol and how showers seems to be helping me Its the pressure of a period cramp just slightly more intense. If it still keeps persisting I am definately going in thank you for your concern Ill definately come back to update how im doing.
