Question about CBE Fertility Monitor

Hi!
Has anyone ever ovulated without it showing up on the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor?

This is my first month on Letrozole.....so I started doing the Clear Blue Easy fertility monitor on CD6. On CD 10, I had a sonogram and the RE said "it looks like you're making eggs and should ovulate in 4-5 days). That was four days ago and the fertility monitor still indicates low fertility. And I started spotting yesterday.

Some history: the first use of the monitor was during a pregnancy that I was not aware of (later miscarried). Then it was unused for about 10 weeks. I didn't reset it and am wondering if it's just not working because of that.

Thank you for any input! It's making me crazy!
Nicole

Hi Nicole,

I'm so sorry about your m/c. {{{HUGS}}}

As for the Monitor, yes, it could be not working because it needs to be reset. Or it could be working, but you are still a little bit away from ovulation. You could see it turn to High tomorrow, then Peak the day after, and it wouldn't be too far off your doctor's prediction.

You might want to try an ordinary OPK just to see what it says.

GOOD LUCK with O and keep us posted+++++++++

hi nicole...

anytime the monitor sits unused for a period of time, or switches hands, it usually needs at least a cycle to recalibrate. this also happened to me and i know i O'd because i get classic symptoms, get the pain, and i was also temping at the time. it also happened to be the month i conceived.

i would agree with mauras advice about the disposable OPK as a back up and BMS as usual.

PS...this can happen with a brand new monitor during the first month of use also.

good luck!!

Thank you all for the responses. I decided to quit using the CBE this cycle and am almost positive I ovulated. I had the classic signs. If no BFP this cycle, I'll reset it and use it next month.
