Increased temp on O day w/LH surge
Hi there -
Question...can you temp go up the day you ovulate? I had an u/s on CD13 which showed a big ole follicle and my LH was 47. Could my temp have elevated the day of ovulation and maybe I ovulated on CD13? My chart should be in my siggie if anyone has time to take a look. This is worrying me because I'm supposed to start e2 patches/ganirelix for EPP in about a week and I want to know that I ovulated and am not on some crazy anovulatory cycle. Thanks!!!

Hi there: If I knew nothing else but your temps, I would say you ovulated on cd 12. However, if your LH was so high on cd 13 and you still had an unruptured follicle present on cd 13, then that doesn't seem likely! I do think you have ovulated by now (maybe cd 14 with a coverline of 97.65 (which seems to match some of your other coverlines), but since you are going to be taking medication that is dependent on confirming O, I would get a progesterone test from your doctor and make sure before starting.
Good luck and keep us posted++++++++ Maura |

Maura - Thanks for the response. I emailed my IVF nurse (who, if all her patients are like me then I feel sorry for her
) and expect to hear something from her on Monday. I asked if my temps didn't go up to normal post-O levels was there some way I could get looked at to know for sure. I know they can do another u/s (which is eating into my IVF insurance cap) or do b/w (cheaper than u/s) to check for progesterone. The chart almost looks like a normal one for me but for that oddity of the LH surge on the day of the temp rise. And it's about .1 of a degree lower then my average over 7 cycles. So I'm hoping she'll get back to me and assuage my concerns
