pos hpt?? need help!

ok my last af was july 29th. then about 3 weeks ago my bbs starting getting really sore and i got really moody so i figured af was coming. i started spotting last thurs and started af friday. af has been super super light and my bbs are still super sore so i got up this morning and even though i am on af i took a hpt. within 3 mins it was pos!!! it was a dollar store test but it was still pos. dh saw it and said it was pos. i have been poas for many yrs and i have never had a pos or a false pos or an evap line. so i am very confused. if it is a true pos then why am i bleeding?? can implantation bleeding last 6 days?? i know i need to retest in the morning but im driving myself crazy, lol. my bbs have never been sore during af, usually only the week before af?? any input would be great!!!

Hi there and welcome to the bb! I wouldn't spend any more time (or money!) on HPTs ... I would go get a blood test from your doctor! Some women have breakthrough bleeding around the time AF would come even though they are pg. You want to make sure, too, that your progesterone level is high enough if you are pg (the blood test can check for progesterone at the same time it checks for HcG level).

I agree with Maura. Get to the doctor and get checked.

It definitely sounds positive, and yes, I had bleeding around 5-6 weeks pg.

ok, i am sitting shaking and in total shock. i got up early this morning and took a first response and to my suprise it was a BFP!!!! i am so happy!! i cant even believe it. this would be my first and a natural suprise. i have been on a diet since april and have lost about 50lbs so i guess that helped me out a little. i will keep ya'll posted!!

So, yes, get in to see a doctor and make sure you take your prenatals... need to keep the folic acid high
