Just me

Hello again I'm back again, after taking off last month from using OPK, I still did BBT just to track my cycle even though I was away from DH during the "prime time" so I knew it would be a bust. Currently on CD 13, wanted to check out opinions. So....I woke up on CD12 with my OPK and got my +. I did not test anydays prior to that. I woke up today and checked my temp 98.39, then for whatever reason got up to let my dogs out, rechecked it again 97.19 and again right away 97.48. Now how in the heck am I suppose to figure out what was most accurate ?!? I decided to use another OPK (which is a first, my doc told me once I get my + to not test after that...well then I got a - ) SO....does that mean more than likely I did O yesterday ??? I was also trying to figure out what temp to enter into my chart. I go in for bloodwork a week from today, and DH does SA 2wks from today. Those are my first steps towards pursuing this whole TTC thing, I figured it was time since I'm on my 17th cycle. Thanks for letting me share!

Hi there!

Very tricky with these conflicting signs! I think cd 12 would be very early for you to be ovulating, no? I looked at your available charts and it looked like cd 15/16 was typical for you to O (basing on those two charts only!).

I would throw away today's temp because you got three totally different temps. Or you could just pick one of them, but make a note about the two others. And then I would keep OPKing even though your doctor told you to stop after the first one. Was yesterday's a true, clear ++? Even if you don't want to keep OPKing, then at least keep BMSing and temping. That way if you haven't yet O'd, you'll be covered and won't miss your chance by stopping too early!

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++

i agree. i would BMS regardless of all the confusion!

when you got your first low temp, was that your usual temping time? also, typically once you get up and move around your temps become unreliable. unless when you went back to bed you slept for at least 3 more hours. how much time between the low temp and re-checking it?

I dont know what it is with these conflicting temps...its driving me batty! So today there was more conflict & I just decided to take the average of the 2 and got 97.81 (should be able to see it on my chart). The time difference today taking my temps was literally just long enough to turn my thermometer off then back on while laying in bed. Where as yesterday I took it right when I woke up, laying in bed but then I got up and walked to the next room to let my dogs out and just sat on the floor waiting for them.
I decided not to waste another OPK today since I got my + on CD12, then - CD13. I use the clearblue easy digital so its either a big fat or blank circle, no guessing involved. I have always had a definite or blank circle with every cycle I've used them and it pretty much always matched up with my temps to tell me when O probably occured.
Its just these varying temps have be frazzled ?!?! And I dont ever temp more than just once first thing. Why am I making this more confusing on myself, who knows! Anyways, I have made sure we BD more around this window of opportunity a lot more this cycle than previous especially after seeing that + OPK . I find myself saying "baby dust, stick in there you bean" I think I'm turning a little cooky

LOL well i think we've all been to cooky street while dealing with IF so you're in good company!!

ok...just for your own peace of mind...what you did the morning you let the dogs out i wouldn't do again. once you've gotten up and moved around even (just for a couple of minutes) your temps will naturally increase and then become confusing and unreliable.

the 2 temps you took this morning that you averaged....were they drastically different?

i honestly never took my temp more than once. whatever my therm read, that's what i recorded. there's too much of a chance the second temp will differ and then i'd be spinning my wheels trying to figure out this and that.

good luck to you this cycle! keep us posted!

I know I keep posting a lot of my thread here but really, I had an extra burst of hope this morning...when I saw my temp was 98.59 it has NEVER been that high, and I guess I'm 3DPO. Maybe its just my screwy thermometer playing games with my head but for now, I will remain highly optomistic I am taking the advice of taking one, and only one temp and that's it. Now I guess its just a waiting game.

Back on the rollercoaster of emotions in the downward dip today...my temp again took a nosedive So today I'm feeling cruddy and just trying to focus on bloodwork that will be done on Friday. I hate the ups/downs but I guess that just goes with this whole TTC thing. We'll see what tomorrows temp brings...
. (that's what I want to do to my thermometer when it dips!)

Hi there: I always freaked out the days my temp dropped ... amazing what a little number on a thermometer can do to one's mood! But, the good news is that you are still above your coverline and it's still early in your cycle! So, it's not the kind of drop that heralds AF or has any bearing on pg. Try not to stress about this one, ok? I know it's hard!

Fingers crossed for you! Keep us posted and good luck!

I am sorry I havent really been around. Classes started and homework is #1 now.. hehehe...

I have issues with my temps and have to take 2 and compare later. Sometimes they are almost the same sometimes its alot.. and I do the same. When it beeps.. turn off and retry. I like my room cold though.. but sometimes the heat takes over so i get crazy charts when the temps are high or low.

Looking at your chart.. its kinda a long time to the rise.. anything could have been going on during that time.. but you still had bms so you should be covered!

AFM I havent started temping yet.. I am thinking maybe tomorrow on cd11.. haha..I kept my room at 74 and woke up freezing.. so thats really going to mess my temps up and I am trying to NOT stress!

Good Luck!! I hope to be in the 2WW right behind you soon!!
