Hi and welcome!

I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c. My issue was recurrent pg loss and I ultimately found that I had a uterine septum that was potentially both preventing implantation and causing m/cs. Did your doctor have any idea what caused your m/c?

Are you seeing from your temps and OPKs that you are ovulating regularly and timing things well? I'd love to see your charts if they are online. Also, what is "cups"?

I'll check back... in the meantime, GOOD LUCK++++++++
Maura

Hi Islandgurl ~
Just wanted to say hello & welcome..this is a great place for support & advice & finding out there are many others out there going thru similar things. I've been off the pill since May 08 with no luck of any pregnancies yet. I'm using bbt/opk to help me figure out what my body is doing and I have no idea what's causing it to take so long. After dragging my feet for 16 cycles, I've made an appt for mid August to go talk to my ob/gyn & see what the next step is. I take a prenat/B6/Fish Oil & I'm ready to get this show on the road, however my hubby is laid back and just says "whatever happens, happens" which makes it a little tougher. But, I hope you get some answers & get preggo real soon

Hi Maura,
My OB didnt find anything abnormal, he said sometimes these things happen, which didnt make us feel any better.
As for the instead cups its actually used for AF, I use it after we baby dance, to hold sperm in as long possible. I usually keep the cup in til the morning.
I havent put my charts online....yet....but thats next on my list. My temps have been all over the place especially this cycle due to the flu....So I couldnt pinpoint my "O" day, but since taking clomid my cycle has been holding at 41 days and I usually "O" between CD 20-25. There has been several cycles that I swear I didnt "O'.....
As for you is there anything that your taking or doing for your issues??????

Hope to hear from you soon>>>and GOOD LUCK.........

Hi Jenisuzy,
Thanx for the warm welcome.....I'm rocking in the same boat.......and my husband is the same way......he keeps saying it'll happen.........but every month when i see another BFN, I get more discouraged. So far my OB/GYN hasnt given us any answers, He says if it doesnt happen in the next 3 cycles he'll refer us to RE.

As for U, have you had positive opk's ????? and What's your temps and charts showing ???

I'll check back later.........baby dust to all and GOOD LUCK

Islandgurl,
I do use OPK's, my doc recomended the Clearblue Easy Digital with the face for a positive result. I had used different brands & tried to interpret the 2 lines but it was just a pain to me....this is VERY simple to read, either or a blank circle. I have used those the past 4 cycles and have gotton positives on all of those cycles & by using the BBT I can pinpoint pretty much when I ovulated. I dont have the link to my chart available right at the moment but like I said, I definitely see that upward temp shift !

jenisuzy,
Ive had the same problem with the opk's with lines, it got sooo frustrating trying to figure out if the line was darker then the control line, it nearly drove me insane. So im using the same opk as you.
Im in the 2ww and according to my temps im not pg, from what i've heard if your pg your temps remain high and my temps are dropping. If not this cycle, i'll always have the next to try......
baby dust to all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi islandgurl....welcome

i agree about clearblue, that was my brand of choice too. i eventually gave in and bought the monitor.

clomid is well known for lengthening cycles so the time frame you gave is right on for a clomid user.

let us know when you've gotten your charts online. it's a great tool and we'll be able to help you decipher things. fertilityfriend.com is very user freiendly and it's freeware.

Your OB is right: m/cs do sometimes happen (more often than people know). If you have one, it's probably chromosomal and will not be repeated. If you have two or more in a row, then it could be something else (which is why I sought out an RE who specialized in recurrent pg loss).

You asked what I did for my issues: I had the uterine septum resected and I continued seeing an acupuncturist and I had success in the end!

I hope that it will happen for you soon. But if it doesn't, definitely go see that RE! I am not a big believer in sit back and let it happen. If I had done that, I would never have found out about my septum and I may never have my two kids! I think we are our own best advocates.

Now I'll step off my soapbox and wish you good luck. Keep in touch!
+++++++++++++++

Just wanted to add my $.02, I bought the clearblue easy fertility monitor off of ebay and recalulated it and loved it. I found the otc opk's a bit nerve wracking.
