BBT question
Hi,
I started doing BBT, and my temps are very low....Does this mean anything? I am so confused by how this is all supposed to come together. Can someone post their temps for a month? I'd like to see what I might be looking for. Here are mine for this week.... CD7 96.2 CD8 95.1 CD9 96.5 CD10 96.2 CD11 96.7 CD12 96.9

Hi there: Yes, those temps do look on the low side ... have you had your thyroid checked? Low temps can indicate an issue with your thyroid, as acw said, and an off-kilter thyroid can affect fertility. If you haven't had one recently, I would have a full panel done. And if you know your thyroid is fine, it could be that you just run "cooler" than others! Keep temping and let's see what happens
.Good luck and keep us posted++++++++ Maura |

My pre-ovulation temps were low 96 point something. I started getting acupuncture. She gave me herbs and suggested accu pressure points that I can do at home. After 4 sessions I noticed my pre ovulation temps are in the upper 96 and my post ovulation temps are in the low 97s.
I've had my thyroid checked several times in the past year and it's always normal. The acupuncturist said I have "stagnation" that is causing a low internal temp. |

My temps used to look like that as well. But turns out I do have a thyroid issue (hypo - underactive which shows as a higher TSH level). I haven't charted since taking the medication, but plan to next cycle to see if my temperature is higher. If your TSH is over 2.5 it can affect your fertility - even though anything under 5 or 6 is considered "normal".
