Need help paaaa lease!
Hi Maura and Dina!
Long time no see... hehehe Ok.. my delema... I just realized last night, CD 37 that AF never came. I know.. how could THAT have happened? lol We are not trying.. but not really preventing.. just seeing what life brings us. So... 38 days later I have about freaked and I dont know where to turn!! My cycles have been 28 to maybe 32 days, the month before was like 28 on the dot if I remember right. Only once was there no protection used, but we cant remember which weekend it was... 8/30 or 9/6... with cd 1 at 9/19 or was it 9/18?? But I did at least change my FT monitor I wasnt using on the 18th. ( I cant use my ovucue that well since I have other tongue issues...lol) I did take a test today at lunch... a dollar tree and that was after going pee about 15 minutes before. Wouldnt that test have been able to turn positive if it was by now? I have major distaster with PCP and what group I am in... and I can not go get a beta till the 1st when my plan changes... but then I found out that no DRs deliever at the one hospital I wanna go to and that my plan accepts... told ya.. disaster!!! Anyways... I guess the questio is more of, the test should have come up ++ if that was the case.. right?

ok, if you meant 8/18, then that would make sat (9/6) cd 20. would it be normal for you to O around then? i guess it could be if your cycle is 32 days. if you O'd the week before, then that would've been cd 14...which could also be a fertile day.
in either case....i would *think* you could've trigger a pos test by now. HOWEVER.....as a seasoned TTC'r....why would you taker a test 15 minutes after you peed? you KNOW that's a no-no

Oopss... it was 8/18... hehe...
Well.. I do know it wasnt a good thing to test so close.. BUT I was at work and HAD too!! lol I would have thought it would have been positive by now... I retested this morning with FMU and a dollar tree and it was neg. So I will wait it out this weekend and retest, even if I need to buy a FRED. I am going to load my charting software on my new computer so at least I can be better at not ttc... well, we are not preventing... ![]() Thanks!

kat, i know what you're saying. i went back to temping about 8 mos ago for the purposes of preventing. i was being rather cocky about not preventing because i have a progest deficiency and can't maintain a pg without progesterone. but i decided that i'd be the idiot that gets caught and has that "change of life" baby because i was so sure it couldn't happen. additionally although i still can basically tell when i'm O'ing if i pay attention, one thing has changed for me in the past year or so and that's that i don't get those awful O pains all the time. i'm still O'ing regularly, just sans pain.
so my best advice would be to keep on top of things if you're not absolutely prepared to be pg again. i think many women here get sloppy about preventing because getting pg is such a challenge that we "assume" it won't happen without all the fanfair. but if you did a poll on the gen par board i'd bet you'd be shocked to see the amount of women who had a surprise pg when they would've sworn it could never happen. KWIM? anyway, i hope this cycle turns out how ever you'd like it to. we're here for you either way!
