What's the difference between a faint positive and an "evaporation line"?
I keep reading about 'evaporation lines'. I'm assuming th at's the little line you see when u squint, go outsie, and use a magnifying glass. But how about a line that's visible to the naked eye, clearly, in reg lighting, but its def very very very faint. its 'there', but not there. THat's how the past 8 of my hpt's done over the past 2 days look.
![]() I used FMU (although later on made no differnece) and I'm 7dp5dt today.

Hi there! I've read that evaporation lines are often gray or colorless and appear well after the established time limit for reading the test. Are you seeing lines within that time limit? And are they pink or blue or whatever color the reference line is?
I think it's time for a beta! Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++ Maura |

I'm seeing them in pink, very light pink, about 5 miutes later. test says to look for results kin 5 minutes. So I don't see it right away, but by 5 minutes its there.

Well, it sounds very positive to me! Remember, you're still in the early in the process at this point. When will your doctor give you a beta? Can you call and say you've been getting ++HPTs?
Best and keep us posted+++++++++ Maura |

i got a moderate (not faint) positive on a fact plus. HOWEVER...its been in my car for the past 2 months sujected to prob 100+ weather.. and its supposed to be stored in 30-85 or so degrees. Now what? Cautiosly optimistic.
Tomorrow i'm going for a prog check. They refuse to do a beta. They say the results are 'innacurate' at this time. they won't know if its beta or trigger. even though i told them its highly doubtful to be a trigger and i watched it fade. whatever.

Hi again: Well, the trigger should be out by today (14 days past trigger), assuming no boosters in between, so if you saw a ++HPT today, I'm feeling pretty good about this!
Good luck and let us know how the prog. comes back++++++++ Maura EDITED TO FIX TYPO Last edited by BC-Maura; 09-23-2008 at 04:58 AM. |

its not 24 days past trigger - its 14 days past. Today I got another faint positive. its bothering me that its still moderately faint, which should mean my beta isn't doubling??

I apologize for my typo! I meant 14 not 24! Don't worry at all about the strength of the line. It is still very early to even be seeing a ++ at all. The best thing at this point is to get that beta... I wish your doctor would relent! Good luck and keep us posted++++++++ Maura |
