Any advice???

After a long break, we're finally back to seriously TTC. I have a confusing question that kinda, sorta, but not really has to do with BBT, and was hoping to get some opinions from you ladies!

I went to see the RE 11 days ago (cd 21) and she did an u/s and bw to see whether I may have already O'd (PCOS'er, very irregular cycles). Neither showed any indicated that I had recently O'd (nor had my temp chart), and two days ago I got a call saying to go ahead with provera to end this cycle. I picked up the rx yesterday and took the first pill. But also had some pretty serious O pain on and off yesterday and again today. Plus, this morning my temp was definitely higher than it has been. I know that the provera could cause the temp rise, so I'm not sure I should give that any credence.

Is there anything else that I could do -- short of another u/s and/or bw -- to figure out if I did just O? If I did O within the last day or today, our bms was well timed, but if I did happen to conceive, what affect would the provera have? (I know my ob/gyn always made me take an hpt before starting provera -- which I didn't do this time b/c I had just been in for the u/s and bw). Should I hold off on the provera (I've only taken one pill) and see what my temp does for the next several days, or even wait a full 2 weeks then hpt? Do I keep taking the provera, and take an hpt in 2 weeks (assuming no af before then?)

Any ideas?

Hi there: I too would definitely call your RE back! I think you need some guidance from your doctor to make sure you do the best thing for your body.

Good luck and let us know how things go+++++++++

hi cassie.......did you speak with your doc? i would hope she would give you another u/s or at very least do some b/w before she had you continue on with the provera.

i agree that the provera could be responsible for the increased temp, but i don't think it would have anything to do with the O pain.

let us know what the outcome was.

good luck!
