How soon after 5dt....

I am doing a DE cycle and will be doing a 5dt. Just wondering how soon I can hpt and get an accurate result? Beta will not be until 2 full weeks later. I have not had great luck with hpt's in the past. But since I will not be taking any hcg this time around I would assume if I get a + it should be real. Any input at all is appreciated!

hi

i would probably do it no earlier than a week to 9 days post transfer. i know with transfers you can get a pos hpt a little earlier than on a natural cycle, but even still some women have no luck getting an early pos.

i was the same way in that i couldn't get a pos hpt until several days past the time AF was due. i had a regular 28 days cycle and verified O but yet my test wouldn't turn pos at 14/15 dpo.

so keep that in mind when you test. even if you get a neg, that doesn't mean it's 100% accurate.

best of luck!!!!

Thanks so much for your response. I assumed I should probably wait until at least day 10 or 12 to hpt. I have heard that you can test as early as 7dpt and see a +. I would be too afraid of setting myself up and feeling bad if it was - at that point.

Update

I caved and POAS 5dp5dt and got a faint positive. I have been POAS all weekend and getting darker and darker positives. Today is beta!! I went in this am and now have to wait all day for results! Already experiencing m/s and other pg symptoms so hoping that means my numbers are high. This is my second pg and is starting out very different from the last one. We transfered 2 Grade 1 blasts and have a high chance of twins!

Beta is in at 183 and progesterone is 30.9.

The nurse said it is a good strong number but no way of knowing how many are in there at this point and will not know for sure until u/s, which is in 2 weeks. Another beta on Wednesday but I am betting there is one cooking in there!

Beta was 460 and P4 was 30.5. The nurse said they are on the fence as to how many are in there as it could really go either way. One more beta on Friday and then they will schedule the u/s.
