HPT - can you trust dollar store brands? TMI

Hi:

Can you trust dollar store brands?

Does it really matter what time you pee on the stick?

Does it really have to be the first in the morning, or can it be right afterwards?

I tried one this morning. I think the dollar store was positive, but the first reponse is negative. The dollar store was the first pee, the first response was after seeing the postive and the second pee of the morning. I thought I was seeing things or I have a bad dollar test.

My period/AF is late this month. It is driving me crazy because there is no possible way I can be pregnant because my next IVF is not until Nov/Dec.

All my blood tests after my miscarriage showed negative, so what the heck is going on??

Last month (1st period after the miscarriage), I keep holding out hope that it might be wrong.. but my period/AF came. Now I am waiting for it to come, and it still hasn't come....

I guess I am back to trying to google what is going on again.

IM sorry, i dont know about dollar store hpt-s i know i would NOT trust them. Just one of those things where my mindset says popular brand is better but you never know!

The dollar store hpt are reliable and often are more sensitive (25 ml) than the other "name" brands. The more sensitive the test, the earlier a positive would appear. And yes FMU, is usually the best especially if you are testing sooner than 14 dpo...but once there is a certian level of the hcg in your urine, the test will turn no mater when in the day. FMU has the most concentrated hcg.

Thanks for the info! I was always scared to deviate from the expensive sell- your- left--arm to pay for the test kinda tests lol- i'll try the store brand next time

My Clear blue easy OPK had a free pregnancy test in the box! Which is great, since 1- They're expensive. And 2- I'm on my second box this cycle.. so I got two free tests. yay!
