Question HCG trigger and dollar store hpt ????s

Hello ladies,
I need your expertise! How long does the hcg trigger stay in your system? I've heard either one day per 1000 IU or the half life thing -- which is more accurate?? If I'm 9dpiui (11dp trigger) how likely is it that the trigger is gone?

Also, how accurate are the dollar store hpts?

Please, please, please share your knowledge with me!!

Thanks in advance,
Jenn

Hi Jenn! Here is an excerpt from the fertilityplus website:

"Q: Can I use an HPT if I had an hCG injection (such as Profasi, Pregnyl or Novarel)?

A: You can, but you should wait 7-14 days after your last injection before the shot is out of your system. If you test too soon, you might get a false positive. Wait 14 days after a 10,000 IU injection, 10 days after a 5,000 IU injection, or 7 days after a 2,500 IU injection." See http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html

How much was your trigger?

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++
Maura

I think it was 10000 but I'm not sure, and now I am completely confused. I actually tested yesterday morning (FMU) with Answer and got a faint BFP! At first I was mad that I did it because I was counting the 9dpiui and thinking 9dp trigger (not enough). But then I realized I was actually 11 dp trigger, so I thought the positive was real. I tested this morning again with FMU using the dollar store test and got a BFN. So sad!! I even tested twice to make sure!! Both BFN. In the past I know that the trigger has been out of my system at 9dpiui, so I guess I was hopeful that it wasn't a false positive -- and now I'm hoping that it was and my little second line will be coming back! I'm 10dpiui today and out of tests (luckily!). Any suggestions? Is there still hope???
