Hi there and welcome
!Because you are not sure when you ovulated, it's hard to say whether you are testing too early and so whether the HPT is accurate or not. If you think your period is still a couple of days away, then I would wait until the day you think it should come and then test again on that day. If it's still negative, then you could look into getting a blood pg test (we call it a "beta" for short on this board). The symptoms you list could go either way. Many women have them in their luteal phase as a matter of course; some women get them only sometimes and some women never get them. So, unfortunately, they can't tell you anything definitive. As a side note, if your discharge has any kind of odor to it (in addition to the color), it may be that you have a vaginal infection of some sort. In that case, you would want to be seen and treated by your doctor. So, keep an eye on that! Best of luck and let us know how things go+++++++++ Maura |

Jeepster - I don't really have much to add beyond what Maura said, but I just wanted to say welcome and I hope things work out whichever way you are hoping for.

I see... well, the brown color could be the beginnings of your period or it could be from a cyst or cerivcal irritation/polyp. I wouldn't freak out just yet because your period could be right around the corner. Give yourself another couple of days and if you still don't have AF, then test again.
Good luck to you and keep in touch++++++++++ Maura |
