opk,bbt,and bms timing off?
Okay ladies... I have a question
This month is the first month i've charted and used opk. im not too familiar with the bbt charting yet. anyway, I had my 1st +opk 8/3, sunday, @ 12noon. temp @ 8am was 97.5. i also had a +opk monday morning, 8/4, @ 6am. temp was 97.66. Dh and I had bms at 7am. next morning 8/5, tuesday, +opk and temp jumped to 98.21. I was wonderig if my bd timing was just right. I just dont know how to make sense of it all. basically, i bd the 2nd day of +opk, which was the morning after of thermal dip. i wish i knew how to post my chart from fertilityfriend.com. I just feel im not expressing myself too well. lynn

ok, you are supposed to ovulate 24-36 hrs AFTER your LH surge...I think your timing is good. To post your chart go to tickers and there will be an address like...
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/y...numbersorwords ...change the TTC to HOME and then copy it over to here.. here is mine http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/linaa78 Last edited by Linaa78; 08-06-2008 at 05:53 PM. |

Hi Lynn: It sounds to me like you may have ovulated on Monday, the day after your first ++OPK and the day before your thermal shift. Usually ovulation takes place the day before the temp rise so if your temps before Tuesday were all in the 97.5/97.6 range and then your temp jumped to 98.21, O was likely on the last day before the jump, esp. since you had had a ++OPK the day before.
As for BMS, depending on when you released the egg, your BMS was probably good (the egg can last for 12-24 hours post release). A good rule of thumb when using OPKs and bbt for BMS is to BMS the first day of a ++OPK and then every day after that until your temp rises .Good luck and let us know how things go! ++++++++++++ Maura |

Maura & Lina thanks for helping me put this stuff together.
Lina, I think ive figured it out. here is the chart... http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1f8406 Since dh and i had bms once during peak fertility time, cd 21, do u think our timing is good? also i noticed a small dip in temp 3+4dpo. and i checked other pg charts and noticed the temps increased during those days and its getting me a bit nervous. Is this bothering me without reason? thanks so much, lynn Last edited by lw962; 08-08-2008 at 08:25 PM. |

Hi Lynn: Your chart looks great -- don't worry about any temps that go down post-O as long as they are above your coverline
.As for BMS, I thought you BMS'd on Tuesday, but Monday is even better since it was your O day . Great timing!Best of luck in your 2ww and keep us posted+++++++++++ Maura |
