low beta help
Ok, I have been doing HPT's since Saturday and have been getting slight Positives. They really haven't gotten a TON darker but a little bit darker for sure. I got a pos on EPT, FRER, FR rapid results, and a EPT digital. I am 13dp ER or 8dp 5dt/f and I got the call today that my beta is only 28.4. How could I have had BFP on Sunday and it only be 28.4 today! Is it going down?? What do you think? Be honest!
I am still positive but I will have to POAS tonight and tomorrow to make sure that there is still something there. I go in again on Fri. Kathryn

Hi Kathryn: 13 dpo (which I think is where you are, when you analogize to dpo) is still early and I believe that beta number is fine! I looked at the following website,http://www.advancedfertility.com/earlypre.htm, and it doesn't even have values for 13 dpo ... but it does have an average of 48 for 14 dpo ... so taking your 28.4 for 13 dpo, I think you are right on track. What did the doctor's office say? They must have some sense if they do betas at that stage, yes?
If taking the HPTs helps calm you, then by all means, do it... but if it's going to make you more anxious, you might think about wait for the next beta since that will tell you better. In any event, fingers crossed for you, GOOD LUCK and keep us posted! ++++++++++++++ Maura |
