How long does IMP bleeding last?

I'm 13 dpo and had some spotting starting on Sat. night and lasting until yesterday (Tues.). That was 3 full days of spotting! Is that too long for implantation bleeding, and if so....what else could be causing it? (BTW, it was never enough to cause any 'accidents', was just there when I wiped) I bought 2 pg tests today. Just in case....

Thanks for replying tlink....my temp. dropped this morning....I just know af is coming soon....it's just so disappointing. I think I need to step up my visits to a western doctor. My b-day is coming soon too...it feels like it'll only serve as a reminder that I'm STILL not pg.

I wondered the exact same thing last Friday thru Monday. I did POAS which was BFN but I wonder would it still be too early to test? I am vert worried about something else though. Since Tuesday I have been experiencing a sharp twinge like feeling on my right lower side. Pretty much all day long. I am so scared of being pg not knowing it and it being an ectopic. I have been getting dizzy and naustious which from my reading tells me are signs of ectopic. Or could it be just a cyst? I made an appt. with a new gyn since mine has retired but couldn't get in until Oct. 30! Would I still test - on hpt if it was ectopic or am I just freaking myself out and probably not even pg and just a cyst or nothing at all. ARGHH can you tell I'm losing my mind

Hi guys:

lmohall -- Just checking in to see how you're doing. How are your temps?

sarafina -- the twinges could easily be from your corpus luteum (leftover from O). I have had that before and that's what it's been. Or it could be implantation. I would not worry that it's an ectopic (you can't feel an ectopic in tube until later on) and yes, if it's an ectopic, you should still see a ++HPT just like a pg that implanted in the uterus.

Good luck to both and keep us posted+++++++++

Maura~ Thanks for checking in...AF came yesterday... I was so sure *THIS* time would be BFP. (But I pretty much feel like that every month) To make matters worse, it has been gray and rainy here for 2 weeks straight...I could really use some sunshine! I'm still wondering about the spotting...my acupuncturist tells me I'm good, and he's been treating my husband "to make sperm strong"....but that is so contradictory to what he was told at the western doctor's office.

It's hard to know what to do, what to believe...what a ride this is...

Oh, I'm so sorry, lmohall. I hate the rollercoaster aspect of IF....

How long have you been doing acupuncture? I am a big believer in it for infertility. I credit it with helping me achieve success, in fact. And is your practitioner experienced with infertility treatment?

I hope that this new month treats you better!
++++++++++++++++best of luck and keep in touch

Another month of Implantation Bleeding?

I had the same 3 days of spotting this month. Does anyone know what's going on? The acupuncturist that's treating my husband wants to keep seeing him a few more times....but says he's getting better.

Is it possible that I am getting pregnant? Or my body's trying to? Could I still take a HPT to see (even though AF came?) Is that a dumb question?

Maura~Our acupunturist doesn't specialize in fertility, but he has treated other patients who have gotten PG. He was recommended by my massage therapist. She told me that she trusted him with her life...

Hi there: What does your acupuncturist think? As for taking an HPT, you could definitely still take a test to see whether you had a fertilized egg that just didn't progress. I had some ++HPTs with my early m/cs and it was good to know that I was in fact getting pg and it just not working because that information prompted me to go see an RE in recurrent pg loss (who discovered I had a uterine septum. Once that was corrected, I got pg twice more successfully).

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++
