Taking 400 mg of Prometrium - will it raise luteal phase temps?

Will taking prometrium vaginally in the 2ww cause temps to rise?

I've taken 200 mg vaginally, for 2-1/2 days now. Today is 6dpO.

5dpO - 36.73
6dpO - 37.03

I guess it makes sense that it would, but any reason to hope that this cycle worked, eh?

My hightest temp last cycle was 36.95 with all the other drugs the same (except this cycle I'm taking the prometrium.)

Is this a reason to think Maybe????? or just the prometrium?

Dana

Hi Dana: Prometrium can definitely raise temps, but that fact doesn't take anything away from this cycle and from the fact that your timing was good and your temps look great now.

Fingers tightly crossed for you!

5dpO - 36.73
6dpO - 37.03
7dpO - 36.95
8dpO - 36.85
9dpO - 37.05

The trigger is out of my system, but it looks like the prometrium is keeping my high temps going.

I'm going to try an OPK Tuesday morning - 11dpO.

Hi Dana: What is your coverline though? That still seems like a great temp to me, no?

Good luck!

Prometrium never raised my temps at all ... I hope this is the start of something good for you, Dana!

Good points Ladies. My CL is 36.5. (.10 degrees over highest follicular temps, right? or?)

I've been burping a lot today, mild lower back ache, bloating, craving salt. All probably due to the prometrium and/or estrace, because I don't get much warning before AF starts---she just 'arrives.

Dana: I am pretty sure that for Celsius, the coverline is drawn .05 degree above the highest pre-O temp (as opposed to Fahrenheit, where it's drawn .1 degree above the highest pre-O temp).

Either way, you're doing just fine!

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++
