what does this mean

well i was really excited b/c my temp went to 98.6 this morning and it is 10dpo. well during the day today i got a little brownish spotting. what is this. does this mean i am out this cycle? is af coming?

Good luck, Brenda!

Brown spotting can be a very GOOD sign. I've read lots of posts by women who have spotting right about where you are in the cycle.....and end up with bfps!!! (implantation spotting) As for your other question, I don't know alot about temping, but I've looked at lots of charts on fertility friend's site......and it seems to vary by the individual......some temps drop the day before AF starts and others start dropping a few days before......

Hi Brenda I also had Implantation spotting when i was pg... I really thought AF was coming...

Hi Brenda! 10 dpo would be early for AF spotting unless you have a short luteal phase. I don't think it's necessarily a bad sign at all... I too had it when I was pg with both of my kids!

As for when temps come down, some people see it the day they get AF... some people see it the day before AF ... and some people see it a few days into AF (no rhyme or reason, basically!)

Let's hope your temp stays up and AF stays away!

i am so impatient...i got some brown spotting yesterday a few times when i went to the bathroom and didn't get any more for the rest of the night. i haven't had any this morning as of right now but i took a hpt and it was a bfn. i am so disappointed. my temp was 98.6 yesterday and today it was 98.4. so i know i can't give up just yet but i dont feel like i am preggo.

btw i think i am 11dpo.

Hi Brenda,

When I was pg, I got my first BFP using a HPT around 12dpo and then another pg I had the first BFP around 14dpo, so you still have time!
Oh ya, I also had implantation brown spotting on the first pg. That was approx 8dpo. I then had cramping and twinges around 13-15dpo.

Brenda,

Hang in there.......it could still be too early on the hpt........ESPECIALLY if it is implantation spotting........you still need time to let the little one implant.....to start giving you the hcg readings on the hpt!!!

Let's all just pray in Brenda's direction.........sending those ++++++vibes your way......!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, because I am definitely NOT a temping expert...(no where close to it, actually!)...but, when they talk about pre-implantation "dips" on the charts, doesn't the temp usually go down then back up once implantation is done....? On the women that have that, anyway????? Just something else going in your favor, right now!

Hang on!!!!
