HUGE temp drop at 8dpo....Need advice!

This has been the strangest cycle I have ever had in the 2+ years of ttc. AF started on 9/26 but only lasted 2 and a half days. (normally I have 6-7 day af)

Started clomid on cd3 and finished on cd7. This morning my temp dropped from 97.9 to 95.9!!!!!!! Believe me I was shocked too and triple checked the thermometer.

I do not have a cold and nothing changed in my sleeping pattern.

Can anyone explain what would cause such a drastic drop? TIA!

tigerjen....i'm assuming you meant to say cd 8 instead of 8 dpo?

a few things come to mind...

clomid will have an affect on your temps in that it will keep them a little higher during the days that you take it. it could've just been an adjustment to stopping the clomid. do you have any other charts to compare? the other chart showing didn't really offer too much as you didn't continue to temp past cd 7.

it was a fluke? that temp is pretty low so i wonder if it wasn't just a freak thing? do you use a digital therm?

Yes I meant cd8 not 8dpo. Boy I wish I had a drop like that at 8dpo! LOL

My temp went back up this am so I guess it was just a fluke like you said. Strange. Another little oddity for my infetility rollercoaster!



ps: Yes it's a digital thermometer. Does that mess bbt up?

no nat at all. i used only digi therm's myself. i was just asking due to the accuracy. it doesn't get any more accurate that digital.
