clomid and high bbt

I was wondering how much clomid plays a role with bbt. I have always had really low pre O temps, never above 97.2...even when taking clomid before with my DD...but this is my first cycle with clomid and today my temp was 97.7, which is usually a post O temp for me. It was really wierd seeing a temp that high, i even poas just incase my AF wasnt really AF since it was lighter this time (neg of course) So my question is how common are higher temps while using clomid, and will they go down after i'm done taking it or is this just a new thing for me to worry about?? TIA!

Hi Cammiesmom! Clomid can definitely make temps higher than usual even if it hasn't in other Clomid cycles. What cd are you now? I would just keep temping and see how it all plays out! Even if your temp is higher than usual now, you should still see a thermal shift to an even higher range after O, so don't worry.

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++++

Yeah Hi! Totally agree with Maura! When i was taking clomid my BBT was higher but when I finished the pills temp went back to regular preo temps and then I can see the shift indicating ovulation happened...

Good luck!

Ok thanks!! I'm only on CD 6 and on my 2nd day of Clomid. I'm going to keep temping and hopefully i'll see the rise soon!! I have the tendency to O late, usually around cd 25 which is why RE put me back on Clomid...hopefully i wont O as late. Plus, my follies arent growing very well it seems...Thanks so much!
