unusual pain?
Hi ladies! My question is not regarding bbt sorry... but i thought maybe one of u ladies knows...
Ok... since yesterday i've been having some right pain, especifically in my ovary area. It comes and goes. It cannot be ovulation because I'm cd 6 I'm still spotting from AF. What could be?... I'm trying to wait it out and see if it goes on its own, but if it keeps going I have to go to the docs... u think it might be normal? TIA!

Hi Loyda: What does the pain feel like? Is it sharp? Dull? Is it debilitating or just annoying? It could be a cyst on your ovary; it could also be the follicle developing. Cd 6 is early to ovulate, but it's possible to O at this stage (my friend conceived on cd 6). I would keep an eye on it and call your doctor if it doesn't go away or it's painful.
++++++++++++++ Maura p.s. Endometriosis or fibroids are other possibilities, but if you have no history, then not as likely as a cyst or early follicle. |

An RE told me that if you had cysts or follicles from a pervious cycle, it could be those rupturing. Or it could be from fibroids like Maura mentioned.
I'd call the Dr. and see if you can get a scan done to check it out.

i've gotten this once in a while on an "off" time to my cycle. it's not an acute pain, but more like annoying and it usually disappears as quickly as it appears.
if it's something that persists, then i would consult with your doc.

The pain is like Dina described... Is not that painful but it is annoying... It feels like I'm ovulating but I don't have any other signs... So I think maybe is a leftover cyst for last cycle as Tweetyb suggests...
If it keeps bothering me i would call the gyn to get a sonogram just in case... Last year I had a laparascopy/hysteroscopy (to determine bicornuate or septate uterus) and there wasn't any fibroids or endometriosis... (thank God!) Thanks Ladies! |

Right Side, or Left?
lsmariev~ I'm new to the forum, but I read your post the other day and I just had to reply in case someone else is reading this. I've been trying to get pregnant for almost two years now. Last Dec. I started "noticing" that I could sometimes feel something on what I assumed was my right ovary. (It sort of felt like I was ovulating, but it didn't always occur around that time) In March, I had my regular exam with a new doctor (after DH's sa came back good)...She said my ovaries looked great, let's start some testing, etc, etc. A long story short....in July I had my appendix removed...it had grown into a benign tumor. I know this isn't what you're dealing with, but I just wanted to put it out there. (Wishing it had been out there for me when I needed it) Looking back, I ignored my body for a long time and I wished that I had tried to listen better...because I knew that something was "off" and I think my body had been "fighting" this for awhile. I've started charting again and my body looks like it's starting to ovulate for real this time. (I started charting in March after a long hiatus...another story). March-July I looked like I was ovulating, just not very confidently. Thanks for letting me post this on your thread...Laura

Hi Laura... Yes it was in my right ovary, so it seemed... But I didn't ovulate... In fact I'm having another anovulatory cycle... I was going to go the doctor if the pain kept bothering me, but the sharp pain I was having stopped...
How were your symptoms and what test did u get? If u can share of course... Thanks for telling your story, if the pain comes back I'm going to the doctor for maybe a sonogram?... |
