Aygestin

Has anyone ever been given Aygestin to bring on AF? Any info?

Hi Beth,

I just took two rounds of it for 5 days each. My doctor said my estrogen was too high so he was worried I'd ovulate too soon so that's why he put me on it. I looked it up on Web-md and it talked about being used to induce a period when hormones are all out of whack and to manage high estrogen.

Check out webmd; it was really helpful for me and continues to be as I go through IVF again.

I have used Aygestin before to induce AF. From what I've learned it doesn't deplete the unterine lining like Provera does. I took it for 10 days just like Provera and had AF a couple of days later.

Thank you both for your input. I am taking it twice a day for 7 days. Hopefully I will get AF soon after that and get this show on the road again!
