Night shift and BBT?

Well, it appears that with next AF (having a doosey now ) Dh and I are ready to get back on the wagon.

We've been off awhile since my dad passed away in April, subsequent grief and stress, finishing up school in the meantime and graduating in June, finding a job, started working etc etc etc....

With the new job we are in the position to really go forward with tx. I believe that my insurance now covers diagnostics and at least clomid so u/s and the like should be covered which is nice. If we move up to Inj drugs we'll still be out of luck but like i said the job opens up more money for that.

Anyway, ....I'm working nights and wondering how this will effect my bbt. I'm going to chart this month just to get in the habit of doing it again since I've been away from it so long (whew...what a nice break! no obsessing with temps) but im wondering how wacky my temps will be...

Anyone with any insight?

Hi Julie!

Your life has been very busy and stressful, it sounds like ... I'm so sorry about your father. {{{HUGS}}}

With respect to your temps, you may find that you can still do it despite working nights. It all depends on how regular your new schedule will be. If you always go to sleep around the same time and wake up at the same time (regardless of whether your waking time is night or day), your body may well adjust and you may well be able to see a thermal shift after O. Charting for a month now is an excellent idea just to see if you can tell what it's going to be like (it may actually take a few cycles of this new schedule to really tell for sure though).

Good luck and keep us posted!
