How are you???

Loyda,

I'm so sorry to read your post. It is so very hard. Everyone is so different, in how they handle loss. I "seemed" to be okay for the first week or so and then it seemed that it all hit me in a huge wave the next week.

I guess that all I can offer you in terms of advice, is, I think that it is all considered "normal". However it hits you, however you feel, however you need to respond.......it's just all part of the process.

Take some time to take care of yourself and don't push yourself too hard. You've been through so much.....

{{{{hugs}}}}}} and prayers for you, especially today.

LAMom

Thanks ladies.

LAMom: I'm doing pretty fine physically, the bleeding is not so bad really is not that much... I had no cramps after the D&C, I had a bothering feeling in my uterus... Emotionally I think I'm fine, but I think I'm a little depressed, don't know if I want to ttc again or what to do...

The doctor told me it was very normal, and that happen more that I thought... and to try again...I know some go a have a healthy pregnancy... Anyway, I see him again next thursday, wondering what he would say then...

Loyda - Just to throw some encouragement your way. I did have a miscarriage at 7-8 weeks, and went on to have a healthy twin pregnancy later on. So healthy, in fact, that I ultimately had to be induced - just two days short of 40 weeks with them.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Hi Loyda: I'm sorry you're feeling down.... I think you should take whatever time you need to grieve ... you'll do better in the long run ... as for ttc again, I would definitely think about it ... your doctor is absolutely right ... early m/c happens more often than people know ... many women are late for AF, don't think much about it or don't even know they are late and then get what they think is AF, but actually is an early loss. The vast majority of people who have had losses go on to have healthy pgs. I too am an example of that. I actually had two m/cs and a molar until an RE discovered that I had a uterine septum and once it was removed, I had no problems conceiving my two kids. Most early m/cs, though, are due to chromosomal issues which do not repeat.

I am VERY hopeful for you. You are young and you have plenty of time to keep ttc if you want. You did conceive this time and you can again. My mantra when ttc was "I can and I will" and I used to mutter it to myself when out walking my dog.

Let us know what the doctor says this coming week and good luck++++++++
Maura

I've also been out of town and just saw this. I am so sorry this happened to you. I have to echo what a few others have said -- m/c are a lot more common than most people would expect. It's a cruel trick for those of us dealing with IF and desperately trying to conceive -- since we tend to learn we are pregnant immediately, we are also more inclined to know when we've m/c'd. I've also gone on to have two healthy pregnancies following a m/c at 8-9 weeks, so it can work out for you. Since your dr. did a d&c, do you know whether he was planning to test the tissue to determine the cause for the m/c? Sometimes they will do this to try and figure out if it is something that needs attention or just a chromosonal fluke (which is the cause of a very high percentage of m/c).

Many, many hugs to you. Please don't beat yourself up over this. No one should have to go through this pain, but we are here for you whenever you need a shoulder to cry on!
