Question OPK Question

I got a positive on my OPK on Thursday, a negative on Friday, and a positive today. Is that possible? Has anyone had this happen to them?

My FF chart doesn't show that I've ovulated yet. I am on cd19 today and it says I may ovulate anywhere from cd17 - cd21.

Help!!!!!!

That has happened to me a couple times. I find that my body is very sensitive to the time of day that I take the OPK. I don't really know how to explain it, but it has definitely happened to me.

Did you take the neg OPK early in the morning?

I wasn't using OPKs when I got pg the first time, with the twins. I was doing injectibles and going for ultrasounds and all that. I have been using them this time around, as I appear to be ovulating, unlike last time around.

I recently learned that many OPKs work better when you do them in the afternoon (I believe someone in this forum explained that it was because of the time it takes the LH to synthesize in your urine.

So, for awhile I would do one in the morning and one in the afternoon (around 5pm) just to make sure I caught it. My positives are much more often in the afternoon.

OPK testing is best done between 2-4pm. that said, you could also get a false neg if your urine is too diluted. i would go forward assuming your pos from today was accurate.

good luck!!!
