HPTs - IT IS POSSIBLE TO IMAGINE A FAINT LINE?
I am 4dp5dt - and yesterday POAS - totally blank - white as snow - on FRED. I also did an EPT and there was a faint, faint second line - still there today - and it's blue - not a grey evap line.
Today did another FRED. I should confess that I actually pull these stupid thigs apart after a while to stare at them ..... So today, I saw a faint, faint suggestion of something pinkish that's trying to make it through. I know that no one else could possibly look at this test strip and say they see anything at all ....... but I compared it to the FRED from yesterday and that one was totally white with the outline of grey where the line would be - no hint of any color at all. I think I want this so bad and I am starting to get af feelings so I am beginning to really bum out .... I think I am actually hallucinating this ....... Anyone else do this? I'm not losing sleep or otherwise totally distracted - I am only getting a bit obessed when I am staring at the test strips ...... Have you imagined a line before? Oh, and I hve to look at it for a second - it doesn't pop out ...... I feel a little desperate!

Hi Pal! Probably more of us have been in your shoes than not! I definitely used to pull apart tests and scrutinize the strips in all different lighting to see whether I saw a line or was imagining one! And I would make dh look too (of course)!
You are still so early (the equivalent of 9 dpo, right?) that even if the tests are negative, it's ok because you are smack in the middle of the implantation window! Or you might be seeing a hint of a line but it's so faint because of the earliness. If you can, wait another few days and try again ... and I hope you see an unequivocally dark ++ the next time you test! GOod luck and keep us posted+++++++++++++ Maura |

Thanks for the replies - I took a break from the computer and from the house (and those insipid strips) and feel much more relaxed - yes today is 9dpo - I know it's early - and I'm staying optimistic! lost some of my eyesight today but oh well!

Transferred 2 blasts (one hatching and one early) - hoping those little guys as just taking their time!

hi pal.....i agree with the other ladies. it's still early and although some women do in fact get an early pos, i think more women don't.
i have gotten out the knife and dissected more than a few hpt's. so you're not alone in your "experiments." hope you see that nice OBVIOUS bfp real soon!

Update! Potential Bfp
Well, I took another FRED about 1:00 and was literally just about to throw it out and my eye caught a very, very faint line - I wasn't even holing it up to the light! It was really there! So, of course, I took my last test from the 3 pack and it ALSO HAD THE LINE! I then headed to the store, stocked up and have had 2 more very, very faint but definitely positives! yea! Thanks for talking me off the ledge! I know this is early - but I am feeling so optimistic!
