Hello*!!! really 14dpo is early????? I always thought that was ideal....seeing that I used to test at 7-8dpo.....hahaha well I am not sure if the prometrium will delay AF or what BUT I guess if no AF by MON then I will go in for a beta....
Thanks*!!!!!

Hey QV: Yes, it's still early... I mean, it's better than 7-8 dpo, but when you think of that fact that the implantation window goes until 12 dpo (and a pg goes for 9 months), 14 dpo is early in the scheme of things! A NC study showed that up to 10% of pg women get a false negative testing at the time AF is due (roughly 14 dpo), so a false negative is still very possible at this point. Look at Dina (how many times am I going to use you as an example, eh, Dina?!)
.Best to you!++++++++++++ Maura |

still a little too early....
Hi Valerie:
I used to look at it the same way as you.....thinking 14 dpo was just fine..... until these ladies were kind enough to explain it to me....... you really never can tell when implantation happens.....so, I'd wait til Sunday too --- if you can do it! Good luck! Fingers crossed for you!! (You're going to have a long weekend of waiting too, aren't you?) LAMom |

valerie....when i was pg with my dd i tested at 14/15 dpo and got a neg. not even a hint of a line. i've always had a 28 day cycle that you can set your watch by and i knew exactly when i O'd. but yet, still neg.....i retested 5 days later cuz AF never showed and it came up pos immediately. for all practical purposes, 14 dpo is the earliest you should test. keep in mind that it doesn't account for a late O or a late implantation. even a pos OPK can't tell you *exactly* when you will O. and nobody can tell you for sure when implantation will occur. good luck on your next test! i hope you "pass."
