If I had a cyst hemorrhage/rupture Monday, and it was the corpus luteum, shouldn't my prog #'s be low on Tuesday?(they were 38.5 @ 6dpo) Isn't that what produces the progesterone? Can there be more than one?

Hey there! Yes, the corpus luteum produces progesterone after ovulation... now, the cyst that ruptured, was that a follicular cyst (there are lots of different types of cysts, as I'm sure you know!)?

As for multiple follicular cysts, yes, fraternal twins leave behind twin corpus luteums (or so is my understanding!).

Can you ask your doctor to tell you what kind of cyst ruptured? If you find out, let us know!

I thought that's what they said, but then again, they had already given me the Demerol (sp?) and fenigrin shot so I was pretty out of it. I'll ask this morning when I go get the U/S done.

Lovenox yielded success!!
