Hello*!!!! well I use mine at the dining room table and it isn't that far off my lap (KWIM???) I have never heard of any problems with it. Maybe something to even ask your DR???? I think it could be one of those things that one DR will say one thing and another DR another thing.....I know that I have seen ladies on bedrest that have their laptop right on their belly or upper legs....
Hmmmm good question EDIT to add I voted Yes Okay....

i read an article a couple of years ago about men using lap tops and it possibly having an impact on their sperm. of course it was directed to men who use lap tops on a regular basis for extended periods.
my dh uses a lap top and i use a desk top. most often the lap top is left on the dining room table. it's rarely on someone's lap, and if it is, it's for short periods of time. i don't think i would worry too much about it unless it's a regular thing for extended periods of time.

Hello*!!!! yeah.....hmmmmm now if you asked my MIL you shouldn't put it on your lap and sit a safe distance from the computer....I would say more in moderation (like with anything) you know....

I really don't know - I had thought that the issue with men was that the warmth of the laptop could kill the sperm (although I am not sure).
However, if you are using a wireless connection - there are radiofrequency waves emitted. I really don't know if those are anything to worry about - it's probably safe. But, like anything else, I don't want to be the test case for that. KWIM? Again, probably if there IS a risk, it's the greatest for people who have prolonged exposure. Just my opinion... |
