HPT's

Has anyone used the HPT's from a $ store? What do you think of them? I've been thinking of going and stocking up but not sure if they are any good or really worth the money.

I wonder if you'll believe the results! I bought them before and when it was negative, I thought "maybe the test is wrong, it's a cheap-o", then when it was positive, I thought "maybe the test is wrong, it's a cheap-o". See a pattern here. For me personally, I don't really believe any of the tests. I can't explain why. The only time I really believed I was pregnant was when the dr. told me I was. But, for what it's worth, I still test, and test, and test, and test....

I think if I did use them I would back it up with one from a drugstore just to make sure...but, that would kinda defeat the purpose, huh?

I used them and liked them.

They were very accurate when comparing them to the expensive brands. (HPT addict here, so used more than one brand once I got my BFP!! LOL)

Hello*!!! I used to use them all the time when trying with my EX....and I got very accurate results..the cycle that I did get a pos I was indeed pg (sadly m/c).....other cycles I saw a neg and wasn't..... Fast forward a few years.... I used them with Ken...I saw a pos, then started my period a few hours later for 2 cycles....was I pg??? I am not sure. BUT to me they were more like false pos. I have not used them since Nov... I did chose the first option, but for me I am not sure if I will use them again this cycle....BUT leaving that option over.....maybe once I see a pos then I will go out there and buy every type of HPT....hahaha So I have had mixed readings on them.

I have used them and would use them again. Found them to be pretty accurate and I like the price!

I have used them and would use them again. I've never had a questionable result with the DT HPTs.

I was at the $ store last night, saw them and bought a few. I just got on FT looking to see what other people had to say about them. Had to laugh when the first post I saw was the exact same question!

I've used them, got negatives and they were accurate (i.e. I wasn't pregnant). I would be more inclined to use them if you are 14+ dpo, rather than trying to use them to get an early response. I do use the store brand tests (like from Target) rather than the big (and more expensive) name brands.

FWIW -- lots of brand names also package their products under no-name labels, just to increase their market (e.g. your generic potato chips might actually be made by Frito-lay). You could look on the box and see who the manufacturer is.

I used them and had same result as the $$$ ones!! Same with the OPKs. I got a BFP at 10 dpo, although I didnt believe it for some time...
