Question LH 19.4 what does that mean?

I have not had a period for 60+ days. I had blood work done and my LH was 19.4. What does that mean?

My period is usually every 33 days.... any thoughts?

Kathryn

Hi Kathryn:

Here is a link to the fertilityplus website. You'll see a chart there that lists a normal LH level early in the cycle as being below 7 and a "surge" level (just before O) of over 20. Your 19.4 is very close to being "surge" material. If you haven't had your period for 60 days, then I'm not sure that you are necessarily close to surging, although you could be!

Have you ever been tested for PCOS? Long, irregular cycles and high LH levels can be a sign of PCOS. I would talk to your doctor about it and see what he/she thinks.

Let us know how you're doing and good luck+++++++++++
Maura
