We lost a furbaby today :(

I am completely devestated..... I woke up this morning and found my kitty Wally dead on the living room floor. It appears that he ate something he shouldn't have and choked on it. It kills me to think that if I had have gotten up just a little bit earlier I might have been able to save him.... he hadn't been gone very long when I found him. The poor little guy wasn't even four years old yet, he should have had years left.

I'm not sure why I'm posting this, I guess I'm hoping to feel better about it by telling someone who might understand the bond that people have with their pets when they have no children. I cried for like 6 hours today. It all seems so surreal, I keep waiting for him to hop up on my lap for a snuggle..... I miss him so much already.

I posted a picture of him below. RIP Wally. May 16, 2003 - January 26, 2007

Hugs and Sympathy. One of my furbabies died a couple of years ago at 4 years old, he was an all orange tabby. He was one of my very best buddies. It was a horrible time for me.

I truly hope that you remember all the wonderful memories he gave you and I am sure he is watching you from Kitty Heaven.

oh krysi- i am sooo sorry!! i know how much my fur babies mean to me- I just hate to imagine something happening to one of them- thats just so terrible for you. its really hard when you lose a pet- you get so attatched to them- for me my doggies are like my children- in fact my "sammy dog" swears he's human- if you told him he was a dog- it would surely break his heart. please don't blame yourself- you had no way of knowing wally would snack on something he shouldn't have... ... poor little wally- i'm sure he'll be watching over you from kitty heaven...

Oh hun, I am so sorry. I lost my chocolate lab baby when he was 5, a week before my wedding. It was truly devastating.

I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and know how you are feeling. Hold on to the pics and memories of Wally. In time you will be able to look back at them and smile, I promise.
