Any recommendations for buying hpt's on-line?
We're ttc again. Can anyone recommend a site to buy reputable hpt's on-line? I've read posts that refer to on-line hpt's as cheap both in price and testing quality. Is that true? I'd rather buy a few for $15-20 rather than a couple for that much at a drugstore. If most on-line tests actually do offer ambiguous testing, then I'd continue to purchase name-brand tests from the drugstore. Any recommendations would be helpful.

I highly recommend the aimsticks over on Babyhopes.com.
I've used them with both IVF's and (for me) they were very accurate and early too. I got a little out of control with HPT's this last time, so I had a lot of different brands to compare them to.

i think the test strips are for the dip method only. simialar in theory to a litmus strip? so they don't have the plastic case around them (like you'd find in the EPT for example.)

Okay, I see what you mean. It should then come with a cup--I imagine, right?! The site babyhopes doesn't send directions in order to keep costs down. So I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with these strips. eClaire, are you recommending the test strips? Sorry for seeming to ignorant. I'm leery of buying anything on-line that's not familiar to me. Thanks for your help.

i'm not sure whether they supply a cup, probably not. it's probably not something you'd want to re-use. a disposable dixie cup is all you need. aside from that, i guess no directions are necessary. i'd pee in the cup, dip the strip, and lay the strip down on a paper towel for a few minutes.

I have them and they are good. Come with instruction and you supply your own cup. |
