hCG trigger

I know this is a little off topic for this board, but thought maybe someone would have an experience with this (I also posted on the PCOS board).

I'm doing clomid monitored by u/s. Went in last Friday (CD 10), didn't expect to have anything, but there was a perfect follie at 23.5 mm. I was very surprised, as that was really a lot earlier than I expected, but we went ahead with the hCG trigger that afternoon. My doc wanted me to come back today to follow up, and turns out that "follie" is still there, and, at 28.5 mm, has pretty much crossed over to a cyst.

But, on the other side was a 20 mm follie -- just exactly what I would have expected to see on CD 13! So now I'm wondering if we missed our chance by triggering too early? Is it still possible to ovulate on my own? Is it possible/advisable to get another trigger? I assume since hCG stays in your system for about 10-12 days, I can't use OPKs to monitor, can I?

FWIW -- I thought I was seeing EWCM on Saturday/Sunday, and thought it was getting more "sticky" this morning, but I don't get much CM regardless, could have just been imagining things based on what I expected to see I haven't been temping this cycle, but might start tomorrow, though I know it won't give me a very clear picture, but perhaps will let me see something.
