Can surgery make your temp rise??
I had surgery on my eye on Wed the 3rd. My temp that morning, before surgery was 96.2, the next day, after i had the surgery, with a local anesthesia (sp) was 97.7. That was cd 12, so it's possible that i may have actually Od that day, but this is only my 3rd cycle off of bcp, and my O day is not normal yet. It went from cd 29, to cd 22 and this cycle to 12. I was hoping it would keep moving up, and i'm definatly not complaining if that is what is happening. I'm just wondering if i did O, or if it was the meds they gave me. I did have some EWCM, but i havent been checking CP so i'm not completely sure. Please take a look and tell me what you think. TIA!!!

Hi Cammiesmom: I think surgery could interfere with your cycle and/or temps, but it sure does look like you O'd to me. The best thing to do is keep an eye on your temps and your cm. If you see any fertile cm, BMS! In fact, I would probably keep BMSing every other day or so during this time (through cd 20 or so) just in case you haven't O'd.
Keep us posted and good luck! ++++++++++++ Maura |

It is absolutely possible for surgery to interfere with your temps. Just the inflammatory response alone could create an increase in your temps.

temp dropped way back down today and took my O away...i'm thinking it was the surgery that made it jump...this my be a NO O cycle due to the stress though, or it may still happen...we'll see. We are taking this cycle off due to the surgery, but still keeping track to see if i still O. Thanks!
