One more cycle question please
Is there a set time between the last day of AF and O, or does that depend on the length of your cycle?
Thanks for all your help ladies, how I ever managed to have children without all this difficulty is a mystery lol

hi there!
it depends on the length of your cycle. when i was ttc with dd, it was 36 days from when AF showed to when i o'd. this time around, it was 20. so, after a few cycles of temping, you should be able to see what the average length of your follicular stage is.

Hi there! As Sarah said, the follicular phase (the time between AF starting and ovulation) can vary from month to month, but the luteal phase (the time between O and AF starting again) doesn't usually vary by more than a day or so. A normal luteal phase is 12-16 days long. How long your AF lasts is not important. When trying to figure out your typical cycle (if there is one), what is important is:
1) the day you start AF; 2) the day you O; and 3) the day you get AF again. Hope that helps! Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++ Maura |
