sperm question

DH goes in for his SA on tuesday. I am scared out of my mind. Mainly because I worry about stuff I can't control. I am so afraid his SA will come back to show he is shooting blanks. I have a reason for this fear.

When DH was in the army he worked on this vehicle called the hut. The hut emitted RF radiation. There was a huge sign on the side of the hut warning men to stay 7 meters away while the hut was on. Why you may ask? Because it STERILIZES MEN!! However, it didn't say anything about the safety of the soldiers inside the hut. Surely if this radiation was powerful enough to sterilize a man within 7 meters of it, a little bit of metal that was around the insiders wouldn't do much. DH worked primarily on the hut. So to me that means he has a high chance of being sterile.

If the SA shows that he has 0 sperm, or even a very low count, is there anything that can be done to boost the numbers?

Hi Kimkaye: I don't blame you one bit for being scared! But if you can, try not to let your mind get ahead of you (it's very hard!). All could be well in there. The SA could show a great count. And if not and it's from radiation, studies have shown that sperm cells damaged by radiation can recover and repair. Just take this one step at a time.
