OK, someone's gotta help me with BBT!!
I just stopped taking bcp on Oct 7th, got AF on Oct 12th like i was supposed to for that cycle and started temping on cd 7 when AF stopped which was the 18th. We are not actually ttc this cycle, i'm really just temping to see if my body might actually work on its own since giving birth (DD just turned 1) I've heard that sometimes having a baby "fixes" you, and i guess i'm just hoping that it worked for me atleast a little bit.
BBT, my temps are just wacky. Does open mouthed breathing have a huge impact on a temp?? The chart said i O'd on cd 10 until i put in the two low temps on cd 14 and cd 16. Also, if i put in cervix position it changes all kinds of crap and i am getting so confused now. My temp this morning was 96.6, but i was open mouthed breathing all night...i remember temping again after i had gone back to sleep for a few more hours and that temp was up to 97.2, where i want it to be. And that was closed mouth breathing. So i dont know what temp to use, i never got up in between temping, but i'm not sure if the time differences makes a diff or what temp i should actually use. If my temps stay up then it should change my O date to cd 14, which coencides with my CP, that is if i should use the open mouth breathing temp or the closed mouth one a few hours later. . . Or it could be today, may not have happened yet...Anyone have ANYTHING to add. Here is my chart. TIA http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/15ab37

I have that problem too, so i went to vaginal temps and on cycles that i take clomid and ovulate, the chart looks perfect (well minus the + hpt part at the end
)If you are having huge fluctuations it could be open mouth breathing, but it might be just anovulatory cycles. |

so when you took your temp this morning and got a 96.6, was that the same time you temp each morning? you mentioned going back to sleep and taking it a few hours later...whic temp is from the time you normally temp? taking your temp a few hours later will definitely show a higher temp. the general rule is 1/10th of a degree for each 30 minute difference in temp time. so if you temp earlier, you'd add the 1/10th, and if you slept late, you'd subtract it.
i used to make these adjustments up to a 90 minute difference in waking time. i found anything beyond 90 ,minutes wasn't reliable anymore.

Yes, the 96.6 was taken at 6:30am same time as all my others. I think i tempted again when i woke up just to see if there was going to be a difference, and wishing that my temp was higher so that i would have more chance of an o date. I figured the later temp would be inaccurate, thats why i used the lower one. Thanks for the info!!

Hi there: I don't see O yet from your temps so I'd keep temping for now to see whether you see an obvious thermal shift in the next few days. As for breathing with your mouth open, that could affect your temp if it's something you don't ordinarily do. But if you are a consistent open-mouth breather, then that factor shouldn't really affect your chart because then all of your temps would be "open mouthed temps"!
Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++ Maura |

i always got a dip when i O'd. based on that (and the info from your other post) it's possible that you're O'ing.
if this were a TTC month, then this would definitely be the time to get busy and stay busy until you see your shift.
